Since by level 36 you should pretty much be hitting crits, all of the percent damage stacking on top of everything it’s not a real big surprise you’re doing 800 points of damage within a few turns. Percentages seems to be added after flat damage so if your first shot was hits for a base of 120, 3 turns later from all of the flat damage being added from tide of excellence (I’m not sure if the extra flat damage is added on every exploit being triggered) and extermination as well as the fact you can increase your flat damage by a very significant amount within a few turns, it’s not a big surprise that the percent damage is what allows the assassin to hit really hard as it should. It adding 500% damage is more than likely due to talents adding flat damage. It’s not that the appropriate bonus damage wasn’t being applied on opening hit (for the low damage) but that for some reason it was adding flat damage and not percent damage on an opening hit.
